I received some questions this week about how I see and experience the dark. And as I have a deep love for all shades of dark feel excited to unpack this more with you today. 

I feel there are so many misconceptions around what darkness means. Through culture and religion, the dark, has been portrayed as evil.

Sky = up = Heaven =  good.
Earth = down = Hell = not good.

Obedient, submissive = good
Wild, sexual, raw = Bad

Light = good
Dark = evil

This way passed due date perspective has been shifting a lot in the last decades, yet still there is a lot of work to do around the re-integration of the dark & light qualities we hold inside. 

To start with, let me share with you some qualities of the light and the dark 👇🏽

You could say that dark says something about the density of energy/vibration 👉🏽 the darker, the denser in vibration. For example; the energy of the physical body is darker (denser) than that of the Soul. In the same way like ice is denser than steam.

• Void 

BOTH LIGHT AND DARK HAVE SHADOW. 
Yes 🙌🏽 not only dark has shadow. Being polarized in light qualities can cause some very destructive shadows as well. A shadow quality of light for example is control, disconnection from the body (especially the lower chakra's), too much in the mind, needing the safety of linearity & predictability => deep fear of the unknown & death. No sense of belonging. 
A shadow quality of the dark is being identified as the body only, having no overview, feeling disconnected from higher wisdom, getting lost in chaos & drama and fear of abandonment.

You cannot integrate your lower chakras into your higher chakras and become a being without any legs on the ground 😉. So where does this rejection towards dark, primal and wild come from? I love to bring in the story of Lilith here. 

LILITH, ADAMS FIRST WIFE
I will assume that you've heard about Adam & Eve, the first human beings. Eve made from Adams rib, therefore created by God as a submissive being to Adam. A story that has brought women in our culture into an obedient & submissive position towards men. Now the story of Lilith is one that plays out before Eve ever came into creation. It's the story of Lilith actually being Adam's first wife. She was made from the same substance as Adam and was therefore equal to her husband. When they would make love Adam wanted to be on top all the time and at some point Lilith refused this. Because of this she got banned from the garden of Eden and through that was demonised. Lilith represents the wild, primal, raw and untameable qualities of a woman that you can see being reclaimed globally in these times 👉🏽 The reclaiming of the Wild Feminine. 

Now what this story shows us is a rejection/demonisation of powerful qualities we hold as women. And like this there are many examples of ways we as humans have been creating rejection and suppression towards aspects inside ourselves. 

Why were these qualities rejected? The answer is simple 👇🏽

CUTTING OFF A GROUP OF PEOPLE FROM THEIR POWER, AUTHORITY & GROUND - IS A GROUP EASILY CONTROLLED. 

The good news is 👉🏽 these rejected parts can be reclaimed and they hold A LOT of power. Power to stand for what you believe in, Power to speak your truth and Power to be who you truly are. 

THE PURITY AND DISTORTIONS OF RELIGION.
I do not have anything against any form of religion. I've been spending lots of time in and with a variety of religions and I see that the essence of each religion is pure and beautiful. I do also see that humans created rules in religion in order to control and manipulate people into obedience & submission. When we belief we will be punished when we we do x, y, z. We are a society easily controlled.  

After spending a total of 26 days in complete darkness, going through a variety of temple trainings and studying deeply the darkest dark and the highest light qualities, I believe that we are to embrace and integrate both. We are to bring the dark out of demonisation and back into integration. And we are to bring the light out of the control based structures and into it's integration.

HOW YOU CAN INTEGRATE THE DARK & LIGHT
If you naturally tend to hang out in more of the light qualities, then you can find a deeper integration within when spending more time with the qualities of the dark. And the other way around. 

If you are not sure, you can ask yourself these 2 questions;
1. Did your journey start with a natural connection to ascension? 👉🏽 upper chakra work, meditation, mediumship & psychic gifts, envisioning, multidimensional work. If so then your integration lies in connection more with descending down into your body, into the ground, the earth and into this human experience.

2. Or did your journey start more with a natural connection to descending? 👉🏽 Lower chakra work, sexuality, bodywork, earth traditions, shamanism, blood mysteries etc. In this case a deeper integration will be found in embracing the qualities of  ascension; meditation, knowing yourself beyond the physical body, becoming more multidimensional. 

Wherever you find yourself; one is not better, more hip or beautiful than the other. Bodywork & Sexuality is not better than meditation & mediumship, light is not better than dark. Both are longing to integrated within, so your Soul can come through more stable and more fully. 

THE MORE YOU INTEGRATE BOTH YOUR LIGHT AS WELL AS YOUR DARK QUALITIES, THE MORE STABLE AND FULLY YOUR SOUL CAN LAND AND SHINE IN THIS WORLD. 

And that's where true soul-based leadership can occur. When you embody your uniques essence so deeply that your vibration naturally teaches, assists and inspires others.
